Yeah, they saved him today. I heard that some navy snipers shot the pirates... at night and in choppy seas!

I know!!! And guess what?! i heard that today the pirates captures 3 or 4 US vessels...they're sure mad!

     Speaking of pirates, do you think the United States Federal Government should take any more action towards

this "significant" problem.  I understand that I am not being very specific, but I was just curious.  I still do not know

too much information, not only on this situation, of on the problem as a whole.  However, if the Federal

Government was to take action, it would not be a nation to nation situation which are our usual conflicts over

seas.  And by the way, for those of you who know your history, you should remember America has already faced a

situation similar to this one as well.

Yeah, I saw that on TV. I can' t believe we shot someone! how inhumane. Just kidding, I think it's great we shot them. I mean we had practicaly no choice but still, Obama actually gave the OK. So thats pretty good and suprising. Also, like Caleb said AT NIGHT AND IT WASN'T CALM WATER.So good job to those well-trained seals

By the way this was a good thing for several reasons, Ithought I'd list them.First: three less people who want America to go down out of the way. Second: This is going to send a message to those thinking about messing with us.and Third: We saved one of our own.So I think what happened is good.

In answer to Ryan’s question of whether or not the U.S. should get involved, I believe that we should, we have ample reason to now we have are selves come under attack by the pirates therefore we have just cause to attack them and take them out.  What amazes me is that the problem has been aloud to get this bad.  do people not realize if you give something like this and inch they will take a mile and then keep taking and the problem only gets worse.  Also in reference to what Ryan said about a time in U.S history where America faced a similar situation he was I assume talking about the Barbary pirates in the Mediterranean Sea.  lets just put in like this it took us a couple of years to completely beat them but we did and the marines got to add "to the shores of Tripoli" to there song and all this happened back in 1801-1805, and then the pirates who where not completely wiped out decided to attack American ships again in 1815 and lets just say after that they didn't bother us anymore.  when I first started to hear about all this pirating I was like why are these countries allowing this to happen and I thought why hasn't the U.S. got involved and then I read that they hadn't attacked U.S ships and I thought these pirates actually have brains they know better then to attack U.S. shipping, I guess as we can see by the above posts that they no longer are using there brains wisely.  Yes the U.S. should get involved and wipe the pirates out.
